North Conway, NH

The Climbing School main office is located in the heart of the White Mountains in North Conway, NH. Within a half hours drive to a half dozen ski resorts, world class rock and ice climbing, and great mountaineering terrain; North Conway is arguably one of the best outdoor destinations in the East. While you're out adventuring, family and friends are sure to entertain themselves with the region's many seasonal sports and shopping outlets. Meet up at the end of the day at The Moat Mountain Brewery (our cherished local spot) or swap stories at Starbucks, right next to our awesome new shop at Settler's Crossing.

Rock Climbing
The Mt. Washington valley hosts some of the finest granite cliffs in the East.  Learn crack technique at the Barberwall, or trust your feet on the multipitch slabs at White Horse Ledge.  Our rock climbing programs are sure to satisfy any adventurer.

Winter Programs
Thinking of tapping your way up a delicate frozen waterfall?  Let our guides teach you ice climbing basics at Frankenstein, or adventure out to Pinnical Gully to test your skills. A hair raising adventure on the wind swept slopes of Mt Washington? Take a mountaineering course to learn the basics and then venture out in the "Worst Weather in the World."  We also offer  ski programs and guided snowshoe hikes.  Check out all our Ice Climbing programs . and our Winter Mountaineering programs

North Conway is a great little resort town with lots of local places to eat and lots of places to stay. We highly recommend eating at the Valley Originals, a group of locally owned and operated restaurants.

Directions
From the Boston area
From Boston, take rte 95 north towards Portsmouth New Hampshire. After the toll booth look for exit 4 White Mountains, Spaulding turnpike, which will be on your left. Stay on the Spaulding turnpike north, this will eventually become rte 16 north. About 2 hours north of rte 95 you will be in Conway NH, follow rte 16 north to the set of traffic lights just past Burger King, take a left and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Walgreens. There you will find the Climbing School and plenty of parking spaces
From the Portland Maine area
From Portland take rte 302 west for about an hour and fifteen minutes to the junction of rte 16 north to North Conway. Stay on rte. 302/16 north to the set of traffic lights just past Shaws Supermarket. Go straight at the lights and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Walgreens. There you will find the Climbing School and plenty of parking spaces
From the New York City area
From New York City, take rte 15 (Merritt Parkway) north to Rte 8 north to (Waterbury) to rte 84 north. Stay on rte. 84 to the Mass turnpike rte 90 east. Stay on 90 to rte 495 north, to rte 95 north. Take rte 95 north towards Portsmouth New Hampshire. After the toll booth look for exit 4 White Mountains, Spaulding turnpike, which will be on your left. From the Burlington Vermont area
From Burlington, take rte 89 south to rte 62 east (after Montpelier). From rte 62 in Barre take rte 302 east to North Conway. After the lights in North Conway, keep heading east for about 2 miles and look for us on the right just past the Irving Gas station, take a right and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Starbucks. There you will find the Climbing School and plenty of parking spaces
From the Montreal area
From Montreal, take rte 10 to Magog, then to rte 55 south. 55 south will become rte.I-91 at the US border. Take 91 south to St Johnsbury Vermont. In St Johnsbury, take rte I-93 south to exit 40, rte 302 east. Take rte 302 east to North Conway. After the lights in North Conway, keep heading east for about 2 miles and look for us on the right just past the Irving Gas station, take a right and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Starbucks. There you will find the Climbing School and plenty of parking spaces
