LAND NAVIGATION 101- Map and Compass Skills
|
This course is designed for the individual who has little to no experience with a map and compass. The information packed into this one day course introduces you to basic navigation with and without a map and compass. Both map and compass are recommended items to have in your pack. But what good are they if you don’t know how to use them?
The art of navigating with a map and compass has become more obsolete over the years with the advent of technology. Don’t become a victim of a broken GPS or dead batteries! Half the day is classroom time inside and the other half outside, rain or shine. We emphasize hands on learning and your comprehension will be tested with fun drills and written skills tests. No prior experience is required and participants can be in any physical condition.
